1. The townspeople thought that the lights was gold coming down the stream or smaug and his flamming breath.
2. bard was strong and young but the master is old.
3. the setting of the town is important for the story because that was the only way the townspeople could escape the town with out getting flammed by smaug since they were in water. Smaug also died in the water because he drowned and was shot.
4. the irony of this chapter was that bard killed smaug with only one peircing arrow. The predictions that we had were that bilbo and the company would be the one who did the saving of the town.
5. the wood elves came to the east to help the laketown that was now destroyed and get their revenge on bilbo and the company.
6. We predict that a war will begin because of laketown and the woodelves uniting to get the company.
CHAP 15
1. many talking animals have helped Bilbo and the dwarves. The lord of the eagles helped the company when the trees where on fire. the thrush helped bilbo figure out the riddle and told Bard how to kill the dragon.
2. the company has many enemies like the townspeople of lake town, the wood elves, the goblins, the wargs. they may all unite to steal the treasure of the dwarves.
3. While the armies were coming the company sealed the entrance and got ready for the battle to begin.
4. thorin was getting ready for the battle and they were all feeling nervous and feared for the worst.
5. the songs on page 14-15 are talking about how dreadful and cold the misty mountains are but in page 261 they explain how they have finally conquered the mountain and it is theirs again.
6. the situation is that a big army is coming for the dwarves.
7. thorins heartless because he's sad and gloomy.
YEAH!! WE DONE!!
